White Plains NY Homes & Real Estate
From our office at 120 Bloomingdale Road in downtown White Plains, we are located conveniently close to the city of White Plains and the neighboring hamlet of North White Plains.
The city of White Plains, county seat and commercial hub of Westchester, is like a hip, smaller version of New York City. With its easy access to major highways and the Westchester Airport, it’s much easier to get around than NYC and a quick 35 minute express train makes for an easy commute into Manhattan.
After a major development effort, the downtown is vibrant with many new shops, clubs, and restaurants. With Bloomingdales, The Westchester (our high-end mall), and The Galleria shopping mall, White Plains’ reputation for great shopping is well-deserved. You can get your groceries from Whole Foods, Stop & Shop, a huge Shop-Rite, and a variety of local markets.
Our downtown also boasts the new City Center, a large mixed-use development complex which features two 35-story apartment and condominium towers, 600,000 square-feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space, and new parking facilities. Here you’ll find everything from Barnes & Noble to Nordstrom Rack, the Showcase Cinema with 15 movie theaters, and the Westchester Performing Arts Center which offers live theater and shows.
For sports and recreation, we have it all, including facilities for tennis, golf, ice hockey, figure skating, running, biking, soccer, basketball, softball, and more. We have an ice rink, many tennis courts, a public and a private golf course.
We also have it all in terms of real estate. Living in downtown White Plains, you can step out your door and walk to everything. Only 10 minutes away, North White Plains has a much more suburban character.
Downtown, your choices are many, including the high-end luxury of a residence in the 44-story Ritz Carlton building or the 35-story Trump Tower, or a beautiful apartment in a more affordable co-op building. There are also single-family homes located just outside downtown in every style; Tudor, colonial, ranch, splits, contemporary and Victorian.
North White Plains, geographically a hamlet in the town of North Castle, is close to everything that White Plains has to offer, but has a distinctly small-town, suburban feel. Here you’ll find tree-lined streets with more affordable single-family homes in a variety of styles. North White Plains has its own small downtown with shops and restaurants and features its own Metro North train station.
