West Harrison NY Homes & Real Estate
The hamlet of West Harrison is part of the town/village of Harrison, located in the northern section bordering White Plains, and is geographically isolated from the surrounding areas, located along Interstate 287 with steep hills and a lake along it's borders. Because of this geography, there is a general lack of street entrances, with essentially one "main" road in. This main road is called Lake Street, flanked on one side by Silver Lake Park, bordering the lake, and by a small business district on the other side of the street.
Popular locations within West Harrison include the Passidomo Veterans Memorial Park & Pool, the Leo Mintzer Community Center, and Cranberry Lake Preserve, a well-known recreation area featuring over acres of walking & hiking trails. West Harrison was also the site of the Revolutionary War's Battle of White Plains.
